Learning outcomes
The aim of the lectures is the interdisciplinary preparation of students entering the economic labor market, increasing their qualification potential by expanding and deepening their business portfolio of knowledge. The seminars will create a space for practicing the practical skills of the listeners and a proactive environment for acquiring skills in the field of business at any level of management or performance. By applying a multidisciplinary approach to the subject content, the attractiveness of entrepreneurship as an opportunity will increase for students. They will develop entrepreneurial thinking, with support for proactive (positive) business attitudes, strengthening creativity and innovative approach, developing cross-sectional and transferable meta-competencies (management of one's professional path, personality traits, communication and presentation, ethical values, conflict resolution, people management and teamwork, reconciliation of work and family life, etc.). Through an innovative methodological approach, the teaching process will create a space for practicing practical skills and a proactive environment for acquiring knowledge and building knowledge in business, marketing, management, economics, and finance. By promoting the best business initiatives and activities, as good examples of practice, listeners will be able to follow successful employers and companies of different regions, cities, municipalities, and communities. Acquired entrepreneurial competencies will enable students to orient themselves in the market economy, understand the principles of free entrepreneurship, and help their professional and personal growth.
Course outline
Entrepreneurship in practice. The essence and prerequisites of business in a market environment. Business management. Legislative framework of business. Risk in business and financial analysis of the business. Business financing. Business life cycle and termination of business. Business plan and marketing in business. Current pragmatic additions to the overview of new trends, challenges in economic thinking, action, management, and the impact of the current political environment on business Entrepreneur's career from the point of view of qualifications, the synergy of work life (career) and personal life (family, rest, etc.) for work and personal satisfaction Personality characteristics of the entrepreneur and the process of self-discovery. Managing people as a targeted process focused on teamwork Communication and presentation as essential attributes in the activity of an entrepreneur Innovativeness and creativity in business as a starting point for creating new concepts and strategies Implementation of ethics in the company, in the behavior and actions of the entrepreneur Work-Life Balance as an approach to balancing personal and working life.
Completion conditions
Assessment and completion of the course: Graded credit test Continuous assessment: presentation, semester project Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 51% out of 100%. written examination Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period.
