Learning outcomes

The student will expand his knowledge of the selected field of modern engineering procedures of communication technologies and he/she will deepen his experience in solving and processing problems arising from the topic of the diploma project. He can experiment, or use theoretical and software tools to effectively solve and process professional problems. This subject represents the first stage of study, consultations and solving the problems of the diploma thesis.

Course outline

- Basic concepts from the field of modern engineering procedures of communication technologies, analysis of assigned diploma theses, sequence of solving the assigned technical problem, evaluation of the proposed solution to the problem. - Principles of processing the diploma project: defining the project issue, feasibility study, defining goals, project planning, estimating time and costs, organizing activities, organizing the diploma project, assigning tasks to the solvers, the role of the project manager. - Completion of the project, evaluation and final presentation.

Completion conditions

Assessment and completion of the course: Graded credit test Continuous assessment: Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 51% out of 100%. Graded credit test Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)

Notes

Pre úspešné absolvovanie predmetu je potrebné získať zápočet. To v sebe zahŕňa účasť študenta na vzdelávacích činnostiach priamej výučby, na prednáškach, cvičeniach, ako aj samostatné štúdium a aj samostatnú tvorivú činnosť študenta pri spracovaní semestrálneho zadania/zadaní, projektu na stanovenú tému, v stanovenom rozsahu, v stanovenom prevedení spolu 180 h časovej náročnosti práce študenta za semester.
