Schedule
Learning outcomes
Student gains fundamentals from the area of electro-physical properties of materials for electrical engineering. He gain an overview of technologies applied in the area of materials for weak and heavy electrical engineering.
Course outline
-Structure and properties of mass (fundamentals of electron theory) -Electrical properties of materials (electrical conductivity of conductors, semiconductor, polymers and amorphous materials) -Optical and temperature properties of materials (liquid crystals, optical fibers) -Conductors, semiconductors and hyper conductors in electrical engineering and electronics (JTJ junction) -Dielectrics and insulators in electrical engineering and electronics (memories resist under power failure) -Semiconductors, PN junction, basic terms and physical phenomena in semiconductors -Spatial and layer mono crystals and technology of their creating. -Fundamentals of semiconductors technologies -PN junction technologies, active and passive electronic devices, integrated circuits - Trends in area of technologies in electronics (nanomaterials and nanostructures in electronics).
Completion conditions
Assessment and completion of the course: Credit test and examination Continuous assessment: Student passes the continuous assessment and receives credits when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 11% out of 20%. midterm exam, projects Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 41% out of 80%. final test and oral form exam Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)
