Learning outcomes
The student will gain basic knowledge about project management, project planning and management, the roles and responsibilities of the project manager and project team management. They will get acquainted with the life cycle of software projects and with the methods of software project management and development team. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to understand the issues of project management, participate in the project team and manage the project team. He should be able to manage software projects, manage and analyze customer requirements, design systems and tests, and create the necessary documentation.
Course outline
1. Introduction to project management. 2. Project, project manager and project team, project management methods. 3. Introduction to software engineering, life cycle of software systems. 2. Methods of software systems development. 3. Collection, processing and documentation of software system requirements - communication with the customer. 4. Modeling the structure and behavior of software systems. 5. Software testing. 6. Documentation, configuration and deployment of software systems. 7. Software maintenance, repairs and patches of software systems. 8. Software evolution and obsolescence. 9. Planning and ERP systems.
Completion conditions
Assessment and completion of the course: Graded credit test Continuous assessment: Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 51% out of 100%. Graded credit test Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)

Notes
To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to obtain a credit and successfully pass the exam. This includes the student's participation in educational activities of direct teaching, lectures, exercises, as well as independent study and independent creative activity of the student in processing the semester assignment / assignments, project on a specified topic, to a specified extent, in a specified design of a total of 180 hours intensity of the student's work per semester.
