Schedule
Learning outcomes
The course is a close connection between the study program and practice in preparing students for the CCNP Tshoot industrial certification exam (642-832 TSHOOT - Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks). The student will get acquainted with the problem of solving problems in large network infrastructures, both at the level of routing protocols and at the level of switched networks. They will learn how to design networks with virtual network-based technologies (VLANs), routing between VLANs using various dynamic routing protocols, the use of wireless networks and configuration procedures that are used in the design and troubleshooting of real networks.
Course outline
1. Maintenance planning in complex networks 2. Models and methodologies for implementing changes in large-scale infrastructures 3. Choice of tools for solving problems in large networks 4. Planning the problem solving process in complex infrastructures 5. Maintenance and troubleshooting based on routed networks 6. Maintenance and troubleshooting based on switched networks 7. Troubleshooting in converged networks 8. Addressing the security aspects of converged infrastructures 9. Methodologies of documentation of incidents in production infrastructures
Completion conditions
Assessment and completion of the course: Credit test and examination Continuous assessment: Student passes the continuous assessment and receives credits when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 21% out of 40%. practical configuration test, 40% of the final evaluation Final assessment: Student passes the final assessment and passes the examination when he or she meets the requirement to obtain at least 31% out of 60%. 60% verbal examination Overall assessment: Overall assessment is the sum of the assessments obtained by students in the assessment period. The overall result is determined in accordance with the internal regulations of the Technical University in Košice. (Study Regulations, the internal regulation principles of doctoral studies)
